Jacob Schmehl

Jacob was born on April 1st, 1816 in Centre Co., PA.  Jacob's father was Nicholas Schmehl and his mother was Catherine Kline.  His paternal grandfather is Nicholas Schmehl. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John B, Henry, Susannah, Rebecca, Catherine, Christina and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Benjamin S, George G, Margaret and Mary Magdalene.  He died at the age of 31 on March 25th, 1848 in Serma, Mexico.
