Jireh was born on May 31st, 1741 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Ma. Jireh's father was Jireh SWIFT and his mother was Deborah HATHAWAY. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jonathan, Silas, Paul, Susannah, Lois and Deborah. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
