Richard was born in 1754 in Battersea, Prince Georges, Maryland. Richard's father was Butler Stonestreet and his mother is Jane Edelen. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stonestreet and Christian Coghill; his maternal grandfather was Christopher EDELEN and his maternal grandmother is Mrs Christopher EDELEN. He had five sisters named Verlinda, Catherine, Elinor, Henry and Butler Edelen. He is the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-sisters named Sarah, Mary and Charity.General Notes
