Comfort was born on April 11th, 1624 in Ashford, Ashford, Kent, England and his baptism took place on April 11th, 1624 in St. Mary's Ch, Ashford, Kent, England. Comfort's father was Comfort STARR and his mother was Elizabeth Perley. His paternal grandparents were Thomas STARR and Susanna STARR (MNU). He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, John, Samuel, Judith, Judith, Mary, Elizabeth, Hanna(h), Liddia and Ruth. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
