Her paternal grandparents were Benedict Bennett Stacy and Sarah Haskins; her maternal grandfather was Joseph Browder and her maternal grandmother is Susannah UNKNOWN. She had four brothers and five sisters, named William, John Wesley, Aaron T, Benedict, Mary, Susanna, Elizabeth, Rebecca J and Priscilla P.
