Joy SPERRY 
Joy was born on February 9th, 1785 in Alford, Berkshire County, Ma. Joy's father was Moses SPERRY and his mother was Sarah MCCLEOD. His paternal grandparents were Aaron SPERRY and Abigail BISHOP; his maternal grandparents are John MACLEOD and Barbara FRASER. He had six brothers and six sisters, named James, Charles, Aaron, George, Moses, Calvin, Arabella, Betsey, Melinda, Minerva, Anna and Sarah Ann. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 61 on January 1st, 1847 in Highland Grove, Pottawattamie County, Ia (near Council Bluffs, Ne).
