Her paternal grandfather was Robert SHIPLEY and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth STEVENS; her maternal grandparents were John DORSEY and Comfort STIMPSON. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Edward, George, Mary, Lucy Nancy, Margaret Ann and Naomi Sarah. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died about 1800.General Notes
