Francis was born on September 27th, 1739.  Francis' father was John Russell and his mother was Gertrude Leveson-Gower.  His paternal grandparents were Wriothesley Russell and Elizabeth Howland; his maternal grandparents were John Leveson-Gower and Evelyn Pierrepont. He had a sister named Caroline.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 27 on March 22nd, 1767 in Killed..
