Helen R was born on July 6th, 1919 in Albany, Greene, TN. Helen R's father was Charles McTeer Reed and her mother was Elizabeth Wells. Her paternal grandparents were John S Reed and Elizabeth Ann Bailey. She had a sister named Willie Ruth. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 80 on April 15th, 2000 in Johnson City, Washington, TN. She was buried on April 22nd, 2000 in Carter's Sta Cem, Albany, TN.1 General Notes

Helen R. Reed died Saturday at Johnson City Medical Center.
Miss Reed was a member of Carter’s Station United Methodist Church.
She was a retired teacher, having taught at Baileyton High School andGreeneville High School.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law: Willie Ruth and RichardNevius; a niece: Virginia N. Williams of Greene County; and a nephew:David Michael Nevius of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday atDoughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning atCarter’s Station UM Church.The Rev. Glen Milburn, the Rev. T.U.Brantley, and the Rev. Mark Wills will officiate.
A private burial will be held at a later time.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. A.K. Sen and staff and Dr. RobertTaylor and staff.
The family requests that no floral tributes be sent. Memorialcontributions may be made to
Carter’s Station UM Church or to Carter’s Station Cemetery at Albany.
