Naomi was born on July 2nd, 1809 in , , Maury, Tennessee. Naomi's father was Samuel POLK and her mother was Jean Gracy KNOX. Her paternal grandparents were Ezekiel Franklin POLK and Mary Winslow WILSON; her maternal grandparents were James KNOX and Lydia GILLESPIE. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named James Knox, Marshall T, John, Franklin Ezekiel, Samuel W, Marshall Tate, John Lee, William Hawkins, Samuel, Jane Maria, Lydia Eliza and Ophelia Clarissa. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 27 on August 6th, 1836.General Notes
