Silas was born on March 9th, 1771 in Sheffield, Berkshire, Ma.  Silas' father was Nathaniel NOBLE and his mother was Mary Ann CALLENDER.  His paternal grandparents were Obadiah NOBLE and Mary CALLENDER; his maternal grandfather was Phillip CALLENDER and his maternal grandmother is Margaret CAMP. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Lawrence, David, Paul Hubbard, Tamzen, Olive and Patience.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 42 on January 27th, 1814 in East Bloomfield, Ont., Ny.  He was buried in 1814 in Bristol, Ont., Ny.

‌Silas and Leah (Lea) were married in a religious ceremony on June 9th, 1798 in , Berkshire, Ma.  They had three sons and five daughters, named Lucian, Silas, Lawrence, Happy Luna, Cornelia, Mary Ann, Cordelia and Oordelia.
