Max Lester was born on June 2nd, 1924. Max Lester's father was Lincoln Meldrum and his mother was Essie Marie Epperson. His maternal grandparents were Simeon Harrison Epperson and Dilla Wright. He had three sisters named Pearl Marie, Bonita Fern and Doris Marie. He is the second oldest of the four children.-
