Samuel L. was born on October 11th, 1859.1 Samuel L.'s father is John Lapsley McKee and his mother is Sarah Henry Speake. His paternal grandparents were James McKee and Mary C. Lapsley. He has four brothers and four sisters, named William Irvine, John Lapsley, James Lapsley, Robert Graham, Mary, Sarah Leila, Jennie and Julia Faith. He is the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
