Mary "Polly" was born on September 27th, 1796 in , , Berkeley, Virginia. Mary "Polly"'s father was Andrew MORGAN and her mother was Elizabeth KINSELL KINZELL. Her paternal grandparents were William MORGAN and Priscilla Wells. She had three brothers and nine sisters, named William, Andrew, John, Margaret Ann, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Nancy, Sarah, Eleanor, Ruhama, Drucilla and Julia Ann.
