Daniel was born on April 27th, 1773 in , Randolph, Ncr. Daniel's father was Joseph R. MOON and his mother was Ann BROWN. His paternal grandfather was John MOON and his paternal grandmother is Mary FARMER; his maternal grandfather was Daniel BROWN and his maternal grandmother is Grace THOMPSON. He had twelve brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, William K., Samuel, Joseph, John, Jesse, Thomas, Henry, Solomon, Thomas, James, Solomon, Mary, Jane, Grace and Grace. He was the second oldest of the seventeen children. He died at the age of 67 on April 15th, 1841 in , Clinton, Ohio.General Notes
