James Y. MCCASLIN 
James Y. was born on March 12th, 1830 in , Dickson, Tennessee. James Y.'s father was John A. MCCASLIN and his mother was Elizabeth TIDWELL. His paternal grandfather was John McCausland and his paternal grandmother is Susannah Younger; his maternal grandparents were Edmond TIDWELL and Anna (Or Ann) HOLLIS. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Edmon T., Benjamin Tidwell, Henry Clay, Kissiah and Violet. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-sister named Louisa. He died at the age of 31 in February 1862.General Notes
