Nancy Ann's father was Jothram Joseph Lassiter and her mother was Martha "Patsy" Johnson. Her paternal grandparents were Hardy Lassiter and Frances Johnson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Jothram Alexander, Hardy, Esther Jane, Prudence, Mary Elizabeth, Purity, Luncinda Cinderella and Zilpha.-
