Eve was born in 1745 in Greenbrier, VA.  Eve's father was Christopher Christian Landis and her mother is Mary UNKNOWN. She had five brothers and four sisters, named James, Abraham, Henry, Jacob, Felix, Manassah, Mary, John and Elizabeth.  She is the fifth youngest of the ten children.
