William KNOX 
William was born in 1736 in , , Coleraine, Ireland. William's father was John KNOX and his mother was Jeane GRACY. His paternal grandparents are Ad KNOX and Margaret Brock; his maternal grandparents are John GRACEY and Jean Sinclair. He had six brothers and a sister, named Absalom, John, Samuel, Joseph, James, Benjamin and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 40 on July 19th, 1776 in , On Third Creek, Rowan, North Carolina. He was buried in July 1776 in Thyatira Church, Cem., Rowan, North Carolina.General Notes
