Clement's father is Samuel Jordan and his mother is Annis Comer.  His maternal grandfather is Samuel Comer. He had six brothers and four sisters, named German, Branch, John, Samuel Jr., Bannister, Edward, Ermine, Fanny, Willstine and Elizabeth.
