Daniel is found in the county of Buckingham, Virginia on tax listsbeginning in 1819 (at the age of about 23 years). He is here from1819-1826. He is later found in Prince Edward Co, VA from 1827-1837 inthe tax records for that county. In 1838 until 1843, he is found on thetax lists for Nottoway Co, VA. He is in the census for Prince Edward Co,VA for 1850. Daniel is found in the tax records again for Nottoway from1852-1856. It is unknown where he was from 1844-1849, but the speculationis that he was in Chesterfield Co, as I found a deed of loan between heand Robert A. Jenkins, his eldest son, that was admitted there in 1845.Transcription of that deed is listed below. There are no other recordsthat have been found for him from 1857-1883. He died in 1883 in Nottoway. It is assumed that he did live his final years in Nottoway, but that hasnot been confirmed through deeds, census' or tax records.
