Bjarni was born on November 15th, 1851 in Efri-Ey, Medallandsthing, Vesturskaftafell, Iceland and his baptism took place on November 15th, 1851 in Medallandsthingi, Vestur-, Skaftafells, Iceland. Bjarni's father was Jon BJARNASSON and his mother was Johanna JONSDOTTIR. He had a brother and two sisters, named Gunnar, Brynhild and Brynhildir (Brynhild). He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 30 on June 29th, 1882.General Notes
