Joshua was born on January 2nd, 1707 in , Chester, Pa and his baptism took place on March 2nd, 1707 in Nottingham, Chester, Pa. Joshua's father was Andrew JOB JR. and his mother was Elizabeth VERNON. His paternal grandfather was Andrew Jobe and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Thomas VERNON and Elizabeth MAXWELL. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Jacob, Thomas Vernon, Enoch, Enoch, Abraham, Caleb, Archibald, Mary, Hannah, Patience and Margaret.
