Anna Lowrie was born on November 18th, 1816 in , Philadelphia, , Pa. Anna Lowrie's father was Caleb IVINS and her mother was Edith RIDGEWAY. Her paternal grandparents were Caleb IVINS and Sarah WRIGHT; her maternal grandparents were Barzllai RIDGEWAY and Rachel MURRELL. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Barzillai, Edward, Augustus, Caleb, Sarah Weed, Rachel Ridgeway and Edith Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
