Lauren Edward was born on September 9th, 1915. Lauren Edward's father was Clarence Samuel Hutchcraft and his mother was Lucy Viola Helms. His paternal grandfather was William Luther Hutchcraft and his paternal grandmother is Mary Elizabeth Noland. He has six brothers named Henry Ewing, Norman Reuben, Luther C., Virgil "NMN", William Roger and Robert Laverne. He is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
