Shadrack Van Buren was born on December 16th, 1835. Shadrack Van Buren's father was Henry Hunter and his mother was Martha Murray. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Hunter and Mary Marles. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Johnathan Dock, Abraham Mark, Thomas Jefferson, Serepta Rachel, Mary Jane, Henrietta and Martha Matilda. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 42 in July 1878 in Graham, Young, Texas.General Notes
