Asa Hinds 
Asa was born on September 3rd, 1834 in , Rhea, Tn. Asa's father is Eli S Hinds and his mother is Elizabeth Longacre. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Jr. LONGACRE and Judith PERKINS. He had six brothers and a sister, named Benjamin, James B., Eli J., Joseph D., William C., Levi and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 53 on July 15th, 1888 in San Jose, Santa Clara, Ca. He was buried in Red Bluff, Tehama, Ca.General Notes
