Hedwige was born in 0910 in Saxony.1 Hedwige's father was Heinrich * and her mother was Matilda *. Her paternal grandparents were Otto * and Hedwige *; her maternal grandparents were Theodoric * and Ludmilla * Ragnhildis. She had three brothers and a sister, named Otto, II, I and Gerberge. She was the oldest of the five children. She died in Aix La Chapelle, France.1 General Notes
