John was born in 1892.1   John's father was John H Hargis and his mother was Nina Yount.  His maternal grandparents were George Yount and Catherina Van Brunt. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Paul Clinton, George Raymond, Carrie Elizabeth, Katherine M and Nina Margaret.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died on June 6th, 1892.1
