Håkon's father was HARALD III Bluetooth' King of Denmark and his mother is Gyrithe Olafsdotter. His paternal grandparents were GORM The Old', King of Denmark and Thyri Klacksdottir; his maternal grandparents are Olof "Mitkg" Bjornsson King of Sweden and Ingeberg Thrandsdotter. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Svend I (Sweyn Estridson) , King of, Eric, Thyra, Sigrid, Awelina Sweden and Gunhild.General Notes
