Phoebe's father was Joshua HOOPES and her mother was Hannah ASHBRIDGE. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel HOOPES and Jane WARRILOW; her maternal grandparents were George ASHBRIDGE and Mary MALIN. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named George, Joshua, Amos, F. Joseph, Joseph, Israel, Ezra, Ezra, Jane and Mary. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
