Vincent was born about 1344 in Of Netherfield, Sussex, Eng..  Vincent's father was Vincent HERBERT OR FINCH and his mother is Joan SALERNE.  His paternal grandparents are Vincent Herbert Alias FINCH and Daughter FINCH; his maternal grandparents are Sampson SALERNE and Mrs Sampson SALERNE. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Henry Herbert Alias, John, Joan, Parnell, Margaret, Isabel, Helen, Deonis and Miss.  He is the fourth oldest of the ten children.
