Isabel was born on July 21st, 1662 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts and her baptism took place there on July 21st, 1662. Isabel's father was Edward HAZEN and her mother was Hannah GRANT. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas HASSEN and Mrs. Elizabeth HASSEN; her maternal grandparents were Thomas GRANT and Jane HABURNE. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named John, Thomas, Edward, Richard, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Hannah, Priscilla, Ednah, Hepsibah and Sarah. She was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.
