Katherine was born in 1272.1   Katherine's father is John Gifford and her mother was Maud De Clifford.  Her maternal grandfather is Walter III De Clifford and her maternal grandmother was Margred Verch Llewellyn.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 50 in 1322.1
