Robin Ap was born about 1356 in Of Cochwillan, Llanllechid, Caernarvonshire, Wales. Robin Ap's father was Gruffydd Ap GWILYM and his mother is Generys Verch MADOG. His paternal grandfather was Gwilym Ap GRUFFYDD and his paternal grandmother is Gwenhwyfar Verch IEUAN; his maternal grandparents are Madog Ap GRONWY and Margred Verch ROBERT. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Rhys Ap, Gwilym Ap, Angharad Verch, Elen Verch and Jonet Verch. He was the oldest of the six children. He died after 1443.General Notes
