Ellen was born about 1550 in Gresbrook Hall, Yorkshire, England.  Ellen's father was Robert GRAZEBROOK and her mother is Ann CLAYTON.  Her paternal grandfather was John GRAZEBROOK and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth RUGELEY. She has eight brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Robert, John, John, William, William, Rowland, Rowland, Ellen, Margaret, Margaret, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.  She is the seventh oldest of the fourteen children.
