Sarah was born on March 17th, 1642 in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts and her baptism took place there on March 17th, 1642. Sarah's father was Edmund GOODENOW (GOODENOUGH) and her mother was Anne BARRY. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas GOODENOW and Ursula HAYNES; her maternal grandfather is John BERRY. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Thomas, John, Joseph, Edmund Jr, Thomas, Hannah, Mary, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
