James GILBERT

James was born in 1703 and his baptism took place on September 27th, 1703 in Hartford, , Ct.  James' father was John [Joseph] GILBERT and his mother was Elizabeth SMITH. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, Amy, Elizabeth, Abigail, Mary, Mercy and Mercy.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 48 in 1751 in Hartford, , Ct.
