J. Spicer "Spice" was born on April 28th, 1871 in Sissonville,Kanawha,W. Virginia. J. Spicer "Spice"'s father was Emberson Fisher and his mother was Arminta Fisher. His paternal grandparents were Franklin Fisher and Nancy Koontz; his maternal grandfather was George Fisher and his maternal grandmother is Frances A. Lanham. He had three brothers and a sister, named Eldridge, Columbus "Lum", Clarence and Manzella "Ella". He is the second oldest of the five children.-
