Matilda Facemyer

Matilda was born in 1849 in , Braxton, VA. Matilda's father was John "Aaron" FACEMIRE and her mother was Margaret E. Ashley. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob "John" FACEMIRE and Hannah Garrison; her maternal grandparents were Richard Ashley and Mary Malinda "Polly" Young. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named James Henry, Andrew Louis, John Jackson, Aaron Vanburen, William Raymond, Peyton, Flora "America", Hannah J, Margaret E, Deborah Ann, Sabina and Eliza Ellen. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 72 on February 13th, 1921 in Charleston, Kanawha, WV.
