Mary was born about 1796 in Halifax Co, Virginia. Mary's father was Richard Epperson and her mother was Mary Stewart. Her maternal grandparents were John Stewart and Jean Weakley. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Samuel R., Boy, William, Jensey, Martha, Nancy, Girl 1 and Girl 2. She died after 1860.General Notes
