James Epperson 
James was born on October 19th, 1839 in Hawkins County, Tenn.. James' father was Harrison T. Epperson and his mother was Ellizabeth Mann. His paternal grandfather was William EPPERSON and his paternal grandmother is Nancy Vine Hicks. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Henderson (Henry), William Henry, Stephen Decatur, Joseph, John Wolf, Anna Powell, Mary Jane, Sarah Elizaabeth, Nancy Joanna and Francine (Fanny). He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 95 on January 27th, 1935 in Charleston, Tennessee.-
