Bethia was born on October 15th, 1658 in Newbury, Essex, Mass., United States. Bethia's father was John EMERY and her mother was Mary WEBSTER. Her paternal grandparents were John Sr. EMERY and Alice GRANTHAM; her maternal grandparents were John WEBSTER and Mary SHATSWELL. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named John, Joseph, Ensign Stephen, Samuel, Josiah, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Abigail, Judith, Lydia and Elizabeth.
