Alice De Warenne 
Alice was born in 1277 in Warren, Sussex, England.1 Alice's father was William De Warenne and her mother was Joan De Vere. Her maternal grandfather was Robert De Vere and her maternal grandmother is Alice De Sanford. She was an only child. She died at the age of 61 on May 23rd, 1338.1 General Notes

One member of the de Warenne family connected with Arundel was involvedin a miracle. Ruth Cobb in her "Travellers to the Town," London: TheEpworth Press, 1953, p. 24, writes:
A miracle which is said to have happened after the death of [Richard deWych, Bishop of Chichester, b. 1197-d. 1253] relates to a young son ofthe Countess of Arundel--a daughter of one of the De Warennes--who layvery ill in Lewes Castle. At last all appeared to be over and the bodywas left unattended; but later a girl named Johanna entered, and kneltand prayed to St. Richard de Wych for the soul of the boy, whoimmediately gave signs of life and ultimately recovered.
