Elizabeth was born about 1456 in Dutton, Cheshire, England. Elizabeth's father was Thomas DUTTON and her mother was Ann TOUCHET. Her paternal grandparents were John DUTTON and Margaret SAVAGE; her maternal grandfather was James TOUCHET and her maternal grandmother is Eleanor De HOLAND. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Peter, John, Laurence, Eleanor, Isabel, Margaret, Anna and Alice. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
