Bran Ap was born about 1110 in Of, , Gwynedd, Wales.  Bran Ap's father is Dinawal Ap TUDWAL.  His paternal grandfather is Tudwal Ap EINUDD. He has two brothers named Cydifor Ap and Blegywryd Ap.  He is the oldest of the three children.
