Geertje was born in 1642 in Of Flatbush, Kings, N.y..  Geertje's father was Teunis Nyssen DENYCE and her mother was Founetje Jans Or Phoebe FALLIX SEALS.  Her paternal grandfather was Nys DENYSE; her maternal grandparents were John SEALS and Maria ROBERTS. She had nine brothers and nine sisters, named Teunis, Cornelis Teunise, Denys, Nye, Jan Teuniszn, Denyse Dionys Teunise Tuenessen, Aertje, James, Joris, Jannetje Teunise, Hillegonda, Merritje Teunise, Annetje Teunise, Elsie, Elsje Teunise, Femmentje, Femmetje Teunise and Aertje.  She was the third oldest of the nineteen children.  She died at the age of 51 on April 15th, 1693 in Flatlands, Long Island, Ny.  She was buried in April 1693 in Churchyarddutref, Flatlands, Longisland, Ny.

‌Geertje and Albert Albertsen were married in a religious ceremony about 1650 in Flatbush, Kings, New York, Colonies.  They had six sons and five daughters, named Jan (John) Albertse, John, Heyltje Albertse, Henltje, Albert Albertse, Gerret Albertse, Heyltie Albertse, Annetje, Annetje Albertse, Styntje and Sarah Albertse.
