Dolly was born about 1772 in ,,VA. Dolly's father was John Edward Cornwell and her mother is Frances Wolfe. Her maternal grandfather is Edmund Wolfe. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Elijiah, Jesse, John, Samuel Christian, William, Sarah, Cleary, Elizabeth Lisay, Jane, Nancy Mary, Frances and Elizabeth. She is the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.
