Joel Chitwood

Joel was born about 1778 in Franklin Co.,Tennessee. Joel's father was William CHITWOOD and his mother was Susannah Nowlin. His paternal grandfather was John CHETWOOD and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth TILLOTSON. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Squire, Matthias, Frances, Sarah and Dicy. He died in 1856 in Carroll Co.,Virginia.
