Her paternal grandparents were George CLERKE (CLARKE) and Elizabeth WILSFORDE (WAISFORDE); her maternal grandparents were Edward SAXBY (SAXILBY) and Elizabeth FISHER. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Walter, Peter, Edward Or Clarke, William, Elizabeth Or Clarke, Anna Or Clarke, Grace, Elizabeth and Barbara Or Clarke.
